Caribou-Loretta Beverly Judkins 72 wife of the late Herbert Judkins Jr. and beloved mother, grandmother, and new great grandmother passed away August 24, 2011 at her Caribou residence following an extended period of declining health. She was born in Woodland December 6, 1938 the daughter of the late Marvin and Dolly (Brown) Anderson. Loretta was a life resident of the Caribou area, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted mother to her three children, her five grandchildren and became a new great grandmother on Sunday to Paul Mason Judkins. Loretta loved spending time with family, children and bringing people together. She found great pleasure in watching and supporting all of her beloved grandchildren, while they were participating in a variety of activities and hobbies. She is well known for her fishing in the Aroostook River and she truly enjoyed the outdoors. Loretta was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Herbert in 2004. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Judkins (formerly Cousins) and her daughters, Alexandra and Margaret Cousins of Farmingdale and their father Guy Cousins of Richmond. Her son and daughter in law, James and Kay Judkins of Caribou and their children, Branden and his wife Jessica of Tyngsboro, MA., Ashley and Jonathan of Caribou. Her daughter Dolly Judkins and her partner Alan Hebert of Caribou. Four brothers, Malachi Anderson and his wife Sharyl , Vincent Anderson and Tom Anderson all of Woodland and Bruce Anderson and his wife Coleen of Monticello. Three sisters Bessie Ferrante of Kingston, N.H., Leta Pelletier and her husband Herman and Lu Gagnon and her husband Mike all of Caribou. Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Judkins was predeceased by two sisters, Harriet Thorne and her twin sister, Lorraine Rossignol, a brother Joe Anderson, a brother in law Tony Ferrante, and a sister in law Anna Anderson. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday August 27, 2011 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Aaron Damboise officiating. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish center. Interment will be at 9:00 am Monday at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
