Lois Ann Barnes, 73, died peacefully surrounded by her family May 27, 2025 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. She was born in Presque Isle, May 8, 1952 the daughter of the late Turney and Eunice (Boulier) Doody. Lois was a graduate of Washburn High School. She married John Barnes on June 22, 1974, and he predeceased her in 2019. Lois began her career at Converse in Presque Isle, was an administrative assistant for Dr. J.P. Michaud for a number of years, and then retired as an accounting technician at Defense Finance Accounting Service Loring. She is survived by her siblings, Larry Doody, Todd Doody and wife Beth, all of Washburn, her twin sister, Louise Adams and husband Larry of Caribou, and Sandra Martin-Klassen and husband Donald of Moncton, NB, CA, several nieces and nephews, and her feline companion, Jackson. Lois was predeceased by three siblings, Richard Boulier, Tourney Doody Jr., and Gary Doody, a niece Mackenzie Doody. The family extends a special thank-you to the Cary Medical Center nurses and doctors, as well as all of the staff at the Aroostook House of Comfort for the wonderful care Lois received. Graveside services will be held 1:00pm  Friday June 6, 2025  at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Ron Rosser officiating.
