LIMESTONE – Leona Marie (Parent) Butler, 93, died September 20, 2022 in Lewiston. She was born in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada, April 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Alfred and Emma (St. Pierre) Parent. Leona retired from Loring Air Force Base after working as a nurse there for many years. She was active in the St. Louis Catholic Church, as a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Senior Citizen Club (Past-President), and with the Golden Age Group in Caribou. Leona is survived by three children, David Butler of Granby, CT, Clarence Butler Jr. of Abington, VA, and John Butler of Lisbon Falls, her grandchildren, Natalie and Isabella Butler, and Robert Hyer, Jr., and a sister, Christine Lewis of Hartland, ME, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Butler, and a daughter, Lorrie Butler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Parish of the Precious Blood St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church hall.
