Leo J. Deschaine

GRAND ISLE and PRESQUE ISLE - Leo J. Deschaine, 78, passed away July 3, 2020 at the Aroostook House of Comfort. He was born in Hamlin, August 28, 1941 the son of Patrick and Lucy (Martin) Deschaine. Leo attended the Van Buren Boy’s High School and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was employed by Fraser Paper in Madawaska as an Instrument Tech for nearly 38 years. Mr. Deschaine was a member of the St. Gerard – Mt. Carmel Church in Grand Isle.  Leo loved to fish, hunt, and garden. He was predeceased by his wife, Claudette (Castonquay) Deschaine in 2008, and his parents. Leo is survived by his son, Kevin Deschaine and his wife Dee, a grandson, Trevor Deschaine, all of Fort Fairfield, two brothers, Joseph Pat and wife Yvonne, and Wilfred and wife Corrinne all of Florida. Private family services will be held in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.  Friends who wish to contribute in memory Mr. Deschaine may do so through the charity of ones choice.
