Kathleen S. Mills

Kathleen Sharon Mills, 74, died August 26, 2024 at her Washburn residence following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born November 7, 1949 in Houlton the daughter of Adelbert and Annie (Cole) Bragg. Kathleen was a graduate of Washburn High School, and of the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a medical laboratory degree. She was employed at Cary Medical Center for 42 years. On February 9, 1968 she married Philip L. Mills, and together they enjoyed 56 years of marriage. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and enjoyed time spent at the beach. Kathleen is survived by her husband Philip of Washburn, their son Steven Mills of Elgin, South Carolina, her brothers, Richard Bragg and wife Sheryl of Belleview, FL, and Leroy Bragg of Fairfield, a sister, Winneford Ireland of Houlton, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and by a sister, Doreen McIver. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6PM until 8PM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev. George McLaughlin, officiating, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville.
