CARIBOU – Julius “Juju” Caparotta, 14, died unexpectedly March 3, 2022 in Caribou. He was born in Caribou, May 2, 2007, coming into the world to share God’s light. Juju was kind, compassionate, and was a protector of those who were vulnerable in society – standing up for those who were bullied. He was an athlete who played football with the Aroostook Huskies Football Club, and on the Caribou Community School basketball team and track team. Julius was a member of Mi’kmaq Nation, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Juju made friends everywhere he went, and will be missed by many.
Julius is survived by his parents, Jennifer L. Kiandoli of Caribou, and Tracy D. Kennedy of Westfield, his beloved siblings, Jazlyn Dow-Caparotta, Camdyn, Wyatt and Cody Kennedy, and Elijah Wimbush, his grandparents, “Nan and Papa”, Richard and Judy Kennedy of Westfield, his “Nanny”, Anne Carter, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his best friend, Robert Demerchant. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Peggy Caparotta and a brother, Tristan Kiandoli.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 1PM until 4PM. The family will be honoring Juju by wearing all-white during the service, and invite others to do so as well. The Caribou Community School will be open and have counselors available during the services on Sunday from 1PM to 4PM for both students and community members in need.
