She had a close friendship with her sister-in-law Marilyn Chase, with whom she talked nearly every night for over sixty years.

She was the daughter of Howard and Julia Chase. She is predeceased by her husband, Freeman Theriault, her brothers Howard and Roger Chase, and her sisters Charlotte Booth, Elaine Booth, Ethel Searles, Dorothy Green, Louella Coalson, and Marion Rossignol, and by her grandson, Lee Patterson.

Julia is survived by her three sons Darren Theriault, Arthur Theriault, and Freeman Theriault, all of Woodland, and his wife Donella Theriault, all of Woodland; and two daughters, Judy Ann Patterson of Presque Isle, and Maria Bouchard and husband Darryl Bouchard of Woodland. She is survived by grandchildren Chris Bouchard of Woodland, Chelsea Theriault of Washburn, Courtney Derry of Caribou, Ray Galpin, and Crystal Zambrota.
