Joseph M. Poisson

Joseph Michael Poisson, 42, passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2026 in Bangor, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, the son of Michael J. and Katherine (McCormick) Poisson. Joseph was a graduate of Limestone Community School, and worked in the construction industry most of his life. Joseph experienced many hardships in life and despite his struggles, worked hard to maintain a positive attitude throughout it all. His children were a great source of pride for him, and although he was separated from them by circumstance, his love for them never faded.

Joseph loved music. He followed in his father’s footsteps by teaching himself to play guitar. Whenever he could get his hands on a guitar, he would be playing. Joseph also loved animals of all kinds, especially his dog, Danger. They built a special bond over the past few years, and were inseparable.

Joseph was predeceased by his father, Michael, and by grandparents, Joann and Gary Kelley, Laura Tracy and Donat Poisson. Joseph is survived by his mother, Katherine of Limestone; his children, Annelise of Southern Maine, Karter; brothers, Jonathan and wife Jessica, and Joshua all of Presque Isle, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
