Jonathan P. Robertson

With deep sadness we would like to share, our brother Jonathan Peter Robertson, age 61, of Caribou, Maine, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the House of Comfort in Presque Isle, Maine. Born in Caribou on March 4, 1965, he was the beloved son of Joseph and Judith (Beaulieu) Robertson.

Jon will be remembered by most as a fun‑loving prankster who brought laughter and light wherever he went. He loved being around people and sharing his joy for life, creating moments of humor and connection that those who knew him will never forget. Jon attended the Opportunity Training Center in Presque Isle, where he learned important life skills and formed many lasting friendships that enriched his days. He also attended the Day Program at CAA and was a retired member of SUFU, both meaningful parts of his daily life and community involvement.

Jon had been involved with Boy Scouts alongside his brother Jeff, and proudly became an Eagle Scout. He developed lifelong friendships with the boys from his scouting days, along with their families, relationships he cherished throughout his life.

Jon loved sports, wrestling, Star Wars, Top Gun movies, iced coffee, Subway sandwiches, and coloring on his iPad. He participated in the Special Olympics every year, an event he looked forward to and embraced with enthusiasm. He was also a past teammate on the Snow Dogs Basketball Team and the Grasshoppers Soccer Team, enjoying the camaraderie and competition these teams brought into his life.

In 2020, Jon moved into the Lombard Waiver Home in Presque Isle, where he continued to build connections and share his joyful spirit with those around him. Jon developed lasting friendships with the consumers he lived with, and he shared a special bond with the employees of the Lombard Home. Over time, the Lombard Home became Jon’s second family, a place where he felt deeply loved and supported.

Jon is survived by his brother Jeffery Robertson, his wife Wendy Robertson, and their children: Daniel Robertson, his wife Amanda, and their daughter Iris; Sam Robertson, his wife Deavin Robertson, and their children Griffin and Winslow.

He is also survived by his sister Janet Schofield, her husband Bill Schofield, and their children: Stephanie Dickinson and her husband Corey Dickinson, along with their children Delaney and Sawyer Dickinson; and Sandra Doucette, her husband Josh Doucette, and their children Mason, Camden, Nolan, and Westin Doucette.

Jon is also survived by his Aunt Suzanne and Uncle Lalit Sudan of Framingham, Massachusetts, along with their children Stacy Crook & family and Cary Sudan & family. His Aunt Mable Beaulieu and her family. He is also survived by cousins Stephanie, Mark, Jay, and wife Mary Green.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt Penny Green, and his Uncle Terry Beaulieu.

Jon's family will forever hold his memory close, cherishing the joy, humor, and love he brought into their lives. They extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Aroostook House of Comfort, Dr. Carl Flynn, and the staff of the Lombard Home, especially Sandra Hanscomb and Seamus Sparks, for their compassionate care and support.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, August 3, 2026 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 6PM until 8PM. A celebration of Jon’s life will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the Caribou United Baptist Church, 74 High Street, Caribou. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
