John Henry Lapointe, 62, died February 25, 2023 at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caribou, November 2, 1960 the son of Louis O. and Ida (Morrow) Lapointe. John was a cook at many area restaurants including Yusef’s, Ruby Tuesday’s, the Northeastland, and at several restaurants in Tennessee. He will be remembered as a hard worker, who loved his family, especially his son. John is survived by his son, Jamie Patterson, and a step-son that he considered a son, Nicholas Prescott, his brothers, David Lapointe of Houlton, Daniel Lapointe of Blaine, Donald Lapointe of South Carolina, Ronald Lapointe of Presque Isle, his sisters, Jill Akerson of Caribou and Susan Begin of Lyman. John was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Rena, and a brother, Michael Lapointe. No funeral services will be held at this time.
