CASWELL – Joan Marie Roy, 78, died March 25, 2022 at her home following a period of declining health. She was born in New Canada, July 2, 1943 the daughter of Albenie and Alphena (Roy) Bouley. Joan attended Fort Kent schools, before marrying Carroll Roy on October 27, 1962. Joan worked in potato processing factories, including at Birdseye and Interstate Foods, but she especially enjoyed working potato harvest in the fall. She is survived by her husband, Carroll J. Roy of Caswell, their 5 children, Paula Peers of Caswell, Lisa Carlisle and husband Delaine of Saint Pauls, NC, Rodney Roy and partner Nanette McPherson of Fort Fairfield, Joey Roy, and Shannon Roy both of Caswell, their 5 grandchildren, Jessica, William, Travis and wife Elisha, Chad, and Erica, and 11 great-grandchildren. Joan is also survived by two brothers, Rodney Bouley of Caswell, and Richard Bouley of New York, and four half-siblings, Carol, Brenda, Sandra, and Dana. She was predeceased by her parents, a step-mother, Annette Bouley, siblings, Joel, Albenie Jr., Priscilla, and James, half-brother, Peter, and her son-in-law, Louis. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 6PM until 8PM, and on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 9AM until 10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hamlin. Spring interment will be in the St. Louis Cemetery, Limestone.
