James E. Lagasse, 74 passed away June 2, 2025 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle with his family by his side. He was born in Caribou, August 4, 1950, the son of the late Emile and Doris (Brissette) Lagasse. Jim was a 1969 graduate of Caribou High School as well as Northern Maine Technical Institute with a degree in Architectural Sheetmetal. Jim was employed by The Culbertson Co. in Manassas, VA for a number of years. He married Brenda Weed on September 8, 1990.
Jim loved music and playing his guitar, building birdhouses and coin collecting.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Brenda of Caribou are two sons; Erik Lagasse and wife Jordan of Manassas, VA., and Stewart Lagasse and wife Katherine of Caribou, two sisters, Sandra Lagasse of California and Diane Alexander of Caribou, one brother, Steve Lagasse of Caribou. One grandson, Atlas Lagasse and Baby Lagasse on the way. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 10a.m. until time of services which will be held at 11a.m. at the chapel of the funeral home.
