Caribou

Caribou- James “Jim” Wright, 67, went home to be with the Lord November 9, 2025 in Bangor with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Ohio, July 16, 1958, where he spent his childhood until he fell in love and married Janice Doody who led him to Caribou. He served with the United States Army. Jim and Janice spent the next 48 years together, raising two sons Jimmy and Josh. They made countless memories before adding their cherished grandchildren to their lives, they both beamed with pride at the mention of their names. Jim was a skilled welder, mechanic, and all-around Mr. Fix-it who could build, repair or restore just about anything. He took great pride in his work and his ability to solve any problem that came his way. He was a smart, capable man with a quick mind and talent for making things work. Jim was a huge football fan – but all teams paled in comparison to Ohio State to who whom he always stayed loyal. Through the years, Jim faced life challenges with determination and strength. His presence, steady and familiar, will be deeply missed by those who knew him best.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, whose quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. Surviving in addition to his wife Janice of Caribou, are his mother and step-father, Jeri and Walter Snyder of Knoxville, TN, two sons, Jimmy Wright and wife Jess and Josh Wright all of Caribou, two sisters, Carol Fleming of White Pine, TN, and Cindy Upman and husband Rick of Bean Station, TN, his beloved grandchildren, Devin, Noah, Wyatt, and Charlee, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Wright was predeceased by his father, Howard and a grandson, Jace Wright. Jim’s determination, ingenuity and the life that he built with his family will always be remembered.
