With profound sadness we share the passing of Jackie Doak on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. Born in Ware, Massachusetts on July 22, 1942 the only child of the late Lawrence and Irene (Bouchard) Corrow. Jackie was a 1960 graduate of Caribou High School. She was a member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church and more recently the Lidstone United Methodist Church. Jackie was very active in both churches holding several offices. She loved to use her decorating skills to help celebrate the church services. One of her favorite positions was teaching Sunday School in the third and fourth grade classes with her dear friend Geraldine Beal. Along with her husband Phil, they established Phil’s Florist and Greenhouse in 1974 which they operated for over 32 years and became a landmark in Caribou. Jackie handled the floral side of the business with her devoted staff. Many patrons thought it should have been called Jackie’s florist as she certainly was the face and voice of Phil’s…such a special lady of grace. Another of Jackie’s talents was cooking and baking to make any event special. She enjoyed using her best linens, china and silverware to create a beautiful table for events she hosted. Jackie was a caring and giving person, willingly giving her tried and true recipes and even publishing 2 cookbooks. Surviving in addition to her husband Phil of more than 63 years are her sons Timothy Doak and wife Cheri of Orrington, and Gregory Doak of Mapleton. Grandchildren Brittany Doak-Hebert and husband Kris Hebert, Sarah Doak and fiancé Matt Scales, Carter Doak and wife Monica, Janelle Doak and her great granddaughter Alathea Doak, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A private committal service will be held at a later date per Jackie’s wishes.
