Joseph Mcneal

Joseph W. McNeal, 87, died December 11, 2023 at the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born in Caribou, November 8, 1936 the son of Earl and Eugenia (Wark) McNeal. Joseph attended Caribou Schools, graduating with the class of 1956. Following graduation, he worked with his father on the family farm until it was sold. He then worked for many years doing construction. In 1970 he married Agnes Taggett, who predeceased him in 2008. He is survived by children, Rick (Tara) Taggett of Woodland, Earl McNeal of Portland, Dean McNeal of Washburn, Craig McNeal of Caribou, Joey McNeal of Washburn, and Shelly Maynard of Fort Fairfield, a sister, Candace (Garry) Pangburn of Woodland, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, including special grandsons, Wyatt (Katrina) Taggett, and Jesse Taggett. Private family services will be held in the spring at Evergreen Cemetery.
