Joseph Albe Dubois

October 29, 1930 — February 19, 2020

Bangor and Madawaska - Joseph Albe DuBois, 89, passed away on February 19, 2020 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Albe was born in Madawaska, October 29, 1930, the son of the late  Paul and Marie (Clavette) DuBois. Albe served in the United States Army and was a proud veteran. Mr. Dubois was employed at Fraser Paper in Madawaska for 14 years. He later became the branch manager of the St. Agatha Federal Credit Union until his retirement. Albe had many interests in life including golf, fishing, and RV traveling. He was a snowbird, having spent almost thirty winters vacationing in Florida. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 147. Nothing brought more joy to him than spending time with his children and his family.

 Albe is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rachel (Rossignol) DuBois. He is also survived by his four children; David (Patricia) DuBois of Eagle Lake, Ned (Cheryl) DuBois of Bangor,  Linda (Ron) Marosan of Windemere, FL and John (Maura) DuBois of Raleigh, NC, Rachel’s three children and their spouses; Mario (Nathalie) Rossignol, Luc (Monica) Rossignol of Edmundston, New Brunswick, and Suzanne (Mark) Boudreau of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Albe had 10 grandchildren; Justin, Danielle, Hillary, Hannah, Aidan, Ava, Hallie, Marc-Andre, Kylie, and Tyler. Albe had six great-grandchildren which brought him so much joy; Ella, Addison, Emma, Anna, Paisley and Madison. He is also survived by his sisters; Blanche Roix of Madawaska, Rita (Bert) Picard of Madawaska, Eunice (Ronald) Seavey of Connecticut and his brothers; Gerald (Rose Marie) of Bath, Bob (Odette) of Cross Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dubois  was predeceased by his wife of 25 years, Therese (Caron), one brother, Louis DuBois and three sisters, Rella Paradis, Jeanne Martin and Bernice Vaillancourt and great-grandson Drew DuBois. Albe had many close friends and acquaintances whom he treasured. He considered the Caron family as his own. The family would like to thank the medical staff at EMMC for the compassionate care provided as well as the staff at Solstice Senior Living, and Visiting Angels. A celebration of life will be observed at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 E.
