Ivan W. Jewett, Jr.

Ivan W. Jewett Jr., 84, of Caribou, passed away on September 5, 2026 in Madawaska. He was born on July 1, 1942 the son of Ivan and Mildred (Anderson) Jewett. Ivan enjoyed crafts especially plastic canvas and making quilts of many colors. He also was a member of TOPS where he made several friends and attended weekly meeting faithfully until his declining health. Ivan was also a member of Intervention Church in Woodland.

Ivan is survived by a stepsister, Jennie (McGraw) Jones and husband, Leroy Jones. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and family friends. In addition, Ivan leaves behind his beloved pup Bon-Bon, and his best friend Matthew Haney, who was more like a brother.

Ivan was predeceased by his mother, Mildred (Anderson) Jewett Crouse, his father, Ivan Jewett, stepfather, Harold Crouse, sisters, Reba Jewett and Lena Irrera, a brother-in-law, Chester McGraw Sr., nephew Timothy McGraw, and his first pup, Goldie.

The family would like to extend a thank-you to the staff at High View Nursing Center in Madawaska for the care they gave Ivan over the past few years. They would like to send a very special thank-you to the nurse who brought in her dog, who looked a lot like his beloved Bon-Bon, so that Ivan could pass in peace and comfort.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, September 11, 2026 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 11AM until time of services which will be held at 12 Noon from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Matt Palmer officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Hampden.
