Irvin Damboise

Irvin P. Damboise, 89, died January 21, 2026 at his Caribou residence with family by his side. He was born in Caribou, April 22, 1936 the son of the late Paul and Cecile (Bernier) Damboise. On September 3, 1955 he married Annette D’Astous. Irvin was a mechanic at Birds Eye and McCain foods for many years. He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in North Caribou, and he was also a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus Fred V. Brescia Council 1870.

He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Annette Damboise of Caribou, and their children, Carole Willette of Bangor, Anne Damboise of Caribou, Benton Damboise of Caribou, Dwayne Damboise of Bristol, CT, Earl Damboise of Fairview, IL, Francis Damboise of Caribou, Gregory Damboise and Heidi Jo Harnish both of Winterport. He is also survived by siblings, Vincent Damboise of Wolcott, CT, Maxine Thibodeau of Fort Myers, FL, Pauline Harris and Clinton Damboise both of Caribou, 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren (plus one on the way), and 1 great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Lyra Damboise, siblings, Vernon, Gilman, Galen, and Bryant Damboise.

Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 9:30am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the Sacred heart Cemetery.
