Ina Doody

Ina M. Doody, 90, went home to her Savior on Monday, July 14, 2025 following a period of failing health. She was born in Allagash, March 14, 1935 the daughter of Roland and Eva (McBreairty) Jackson.

Ina moved to Caribou and met her future husband, Dana G. Doody. Dana and Ina were married for 70 wonderful years, had six children, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. They lived in Woodland for 64 years. They built, owned and operated their own business, Doody Construction, with Ina as the office manager for many years. In their retirement years they continued to make improvements to their home and prioritized time and trips with family.

Ina was a beautiful woman inside and outside who created a remarkable and beautiful life for her family. Her greatest treasures included her Lord and Savior, her devoted husband, her family, friends and work ethics, especially canning, making homemade bread every Saturday and keeping her home clean and filled with love.

In addition to her parents, Ina was predeceased by her husband, Dana G. Doody, children, Dina Masone, Beth Doody, and Clark Doody, and her sister, Lola McBreairty.

She is survived by two daughters, Faith Doody and husband David, and Holly Doody, all of Bangor, a son, Dana Doody Jr. of Presque Isle, sisters, Shelda Wickstrom of Caribou, and Judy Pelletier of Allagash, brothers, Colin Jackson of Allagash, Harold Jackson of Fort Kent, Andrew Jackson of St. Francis, and Joel Jackson of Allagash, a son-in-law, Bobby Masone of Boston, MA, her eight beloved grandchildren, and eleven treasured great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11AM at the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Ina are asked to do so through the Aroostook House of Comfort, 18 Green Hill Drive, Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
