Betty Henderson

March 28, 1958 — January 20, 2019

Caribou – Dale Robert Henderson, 60, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019 in Presque Isle with his loving wife and family by his side.  Dale was born March 28, 1958, in Caribou, the son of Robert “Murray” and Betty (Jones) Henderson.  He was happily married to Beth (Nadeau) Henderson with whom he had spent the past 40 years.  Dale is survived by his wife and their beautiful cat Willow, a sister and nephew, Jane Mastin and Christopher Mastin of Texas.  He was predeceased by his father and more recently his mother on December 4, 2018.  Dale was a motorsports enthusiast.  He enjoyed fast cars and the thrill and intricacy of the sport.  In his younger years, his passion was restoring vintage muscle cars.  Dale worked as an auto mechanic for more than 40 years, mostly at local car dealerships and for the last 21 years at Maine Military Authority.  He took great pride in his work and his knowledge and expertise in this field was highly respected by those in the community.  Friends and family would say that Dale was a kind man with a gentle caring soul.  His greatest love was spending quiet time at home with his wife and cat.  His comforting presence there will be dearly missed by Beth and Willow.  Dale would want to thank the friends who came to visit him while he was still at home and in failing health.  These visits were greatly appreciated.  Friends may visit with the family, Friday, January 25, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou.  Friends who wish to contribute in Dale’s memory may do so by honoring both he and his wife’s love of animals through the Halfway House Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 488, Caribou, Maine 04736.
