Caribou-Helen M Doody 80 died unexpectedly April 20, 2011 at Bangor. She was born in Caswell September 26, 1930 the daughter of the late Louis and Idella (Walton) Cote. Mrs. Doody was employed by the Birds Eye Division of General Foods for many years and “Grammy Doody” will be fondly remembered by the many children that she so often took care of. She married George Doody November 6, 1947. Helen loved to knit, sew, paint and crochet and many friends and family we the recipients of her handywork. She was a great cook and loved to spend time in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially hunting with them. Surviving in addition to her husband of more than 63 years, George of Caribou are her two daughters and sons in law; Gloria and Jason Duncan and Norma and Fred Michaud all of Caribou. One brother and sister in law, Freeman and Carol Cote of Caribou. One sister and brother in law, Betty and William Robertson of Murray, KY. Three grandchildren, Amy LaMothe, Bobbi Jo Hanley and her husband Greg and Jesse Michaud and his fiancée Stacy Robey. Four great grandchildren, Lance and Derrick LaMothe and Grace and Garin Hanley. Many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Doody was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters and her granddaughter Jenny Duncan. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8 pm Friday. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday April 23, 2011 from the Old Fashioned Revival Center, Blaine, with Rev. Mark Carter, officiating. Interment will be in the Grimes Cemetery.
