Gloria F. Hebert

Caribou-Gloria F. Hebert, 91 died January 19, 2022 surrounded by her family at her Caribou residence. She was born in Notre Dame DeLourde, New Brunswick Canada December 14, 1930 the daughter of the late Henri and Marie (Ruest) Moreau. Gloria attended schools in Limestone, the Waterville Convent, and Holy Rosary Catholic School in Caribou. She graduated from high school and attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she obtained her teachers aid certification. She married Wilfred Hebert October 18, 1948 and he predeceased her in 2001. Mrs. Hebert was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was also employed by Marty and Mary Gallant, provided child care at Cary Medical Center and was a teachers aid for the Aroostook County Action Program for a number of years. She was a devoted longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she served as Eucharistic Minister, Sacristic Minister and was a 58-year member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also very active in other church functions, including music ministry, singing in the church choir, the funeral choir, was a member of the Catholic Golden age club, volunteered many, many hours at the Good Samaritan Gift Shop, and visited with and brought communion to many at home and local nursing homes. In 2008, she was awarded the Presidential Life Service pin by Sen. Michael Michaud. She is survived by her children: Frederick Hebert of Caribou, Ann Keough and husband Frank of Auburn, Donald Hebert of Caribou, Della Cote and husband William of Melbourne, Fl., Thomas Hebert and wife Sherry Hebert of Gray, Alan Hebert of Caribou, Mack Hebert of Windham, and Gary Hebert of Brunswick. A daughter in law Connie Morris Hebert of South Portland. 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews cousins and man many friends. Mrs. Hebert was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, two sons; Kenneth and Robert and a daughter in law Cher, brothers; Richard, O’Neil, Deus, and Larry, and sisters: Ida Leduc, Emily Moreau, Martha Morrow, Loretta Burrill, and Delima Moreau.  Funeral services for have been postponed due to the prediction of inclement weather this Saturday. The service will rescheduled for the spring
