Harold J. Dube

CONNOR – Harold J. Dube, 82, passed away November 13, 2020 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. He was born in Caribou, March 5, 1938 the son of the late Theodore and Lillian (Lajoie) Dube. Harold was educated in the Catholic Schools, and worked for several area businesses as a welder and fabricator. Mr. Dube was also in the Army National Guard for 3 years. On June 17, 1961 he married Veronica (Nikki) Cyr, and together they shared 59 years of marriage. Harold was a hardworking, dedicated family man and was always around when you needed him. He enjoyed tinkering around the house, hunting and riding his pickup in the woods looking for wildlife (especially in the company of his son-in-law, Ron). He is survived by his wife, Veronica “Nikki” Dube, their children, Brenda Cote and husband Ronald all of Connor, Wayne Dube and wife Lory of Hermon, Paula Pierce and husband Kelly of Caribou, Jill Caron and husband Tim of Connor, four siblings, Donald Dube, Stella Hodsdon, Maynard Dube, and Richard Dube, grandchildren, Jesse Cote and wife Jodi, Kelly Cote and wife Chantalle, Ryan Dube and wife Jessica, Nicole Dube and fiancé Alex Wren, Karley Allen and husband Johnny, Lauren Pierce, Hailey Caron and friend Jake Whitten, and Abbie Caron, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joey, Sophia, Emelia, Grayson, and Kaleigh Cote, Emmett, Mason, and Gavin Allen, Alivia Dube, and Landon Wren. He was predeceased by 5 siblings, Theresa Gagnon, Anita Knapp, Gerald Dube, Viola Michaud, and Rosedale Hanson. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Friday, November 20, 2020 from 9am until time of services which will be held from the chapel of the funeral home at 11am. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, North Caribou. Please be mindful of others by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering and be aware that the numbers of people allowed in the building at one time will be limited.
