Caribou-Gladys M. Land, 61 passed away December 7, 2016 after her battle with longterm illness. She was born in Fort Fairfield February 28, 1955, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Beatrice A. (Blanchard) Pelkey. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Larry H. Land in June 2015. Keeping her memory alive is her three daughters; Tina Land and husband Brian Whitmore, Tracy Land and fiance Gary Whittington, Tammy Herr and husband Kevin. Gladys's four grandchildren, Chelsea Land, Hunter, Dakota and Jacob Herr. As well as siblings, Brothers; Graydon Pelkey and Donald Pelkey. Seven sisters; Darlene Phillips, Diane Butler, Maxine Johnston, Virginia McMann and Joanne McMann all of Fort Fairfield. Stella Pelkey of Virginia and Carolyn Lilly of NH also her many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
