CARIBOU – Ghislaine Marie (Lebel) Martin, 71, passed away unexpectedly February 28, 2020 at her Caribou residence. She was born in Sainte Francois, New Brunswick, Canada, on May 20, 1948 the daughter of the late Abel and Marie Rose (Lizotte) Lebel. Ghislaine attended the Ste Francois Regional School, and was a Certified Nurses Aide at Cary Medical Center, Caribou Nursing Home and the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou for many years. Mrs. Martin was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Surviving in addition to her husband of 51 years, John L. Martin, of Caribou, are their two children, Gail Cyr and husband Kevin of Caribou, and Wayne Martin and wife Jackie of Gray, grandchildren, Brendan, Alec, Danielle, Jaley, Johnathon, and Brooke, her siblings, O'Neil Lebel of Ste Francois, NB, Viola Lebel, of Quebec, PQ, Yolanda LaForge of Speonk, NY, Guy Lebel of Grand Falls, NB, Ann Castonguay of Montreal, PQ, Guildo Lebel of Montreal, PQ, Mauril Lebel, and Lise Ouellette both of Ste Francois, NB, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Guilda. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 6pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, North Caribou. Following the service friends and family are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the church hall. Spring interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
