WASHBURN – Gene Cyr, 64, passed away March 22, 2017 at his Washburn residence. He was born May 14, 1952 in Madawaska, the son of the late Ronaldo and Yolande (Dufour) Cyr. He was a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, and was a self-employed photographic artist for a number of years. Surviving in addition to his wife Debra Berentes Cyr of Washburn, are his step-son, Harold Hull and finacee Ashley Clark, one brother, Paul Cyr of Haverhill, MA, five sisters, Doreen Paradis and husband Dan of Frenchville, Linda Warner and husband Jack of St. George, UT, Pauline Stormann and husband Robert of Old Town, Gena King of Caribou, Terry Cyr of Littleton, CO, a step-grandson, McGuire Hull. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Cyr. Graveside services will be held in the spring.
