Caribou - Gary P. Martin, 66, died peacfully September 29, 2022 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle following a couragous battle with cancer with his wife by his side. He was born in Caribou, October 16, 1955 the son of Wilfred and Gloria (Bouchard) Martin. On November 25, 1977 he married Kim M. Nadeau. Gary was a graduate of Caribou High School, then earned his Master Plumber License and made plumbing and heating his career. He enjoyed fishing, boating and especially spending time at camp with family and friends. Surviving in addition to his wife, Kim M. Martin of Caribou, are his father, Wilfred Martin Jr., siblings, Jeff Martin and wife Linda, Jeanne Cyr, Mark Martin, all of Caribou, and Lori Quentel and husband Steve of Gray, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry and Stephen Case, Peggy and Bob Reicher, Wanda and Russell Levesque, all of CT, Richard and Jean Nadeau, Lisa and Brian Bouchard, and Stacy and Nelson Chapman, all of Caribou, special God-children, many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Gloria, in 2019.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 9AM until 10:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Caribou. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the Aroostook House of Comfort, for going above and beyond with the care they gave to Gary and his family.
