Rev. Brenda Farley

WOODLAND – Rev. Brenda Rose Farley, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 27, 2023 at her Woodland Residence. She was born in Rochester, NY, May 11, 1944 the daughter of the late Angelo and Evelyn (Philbrook) Amore. She married Carroll Farley in 1959 and was employed at McCain Foods for a number of years. Pastor Farley and her husband pastored the Carson Union Church for many years. The Farley Gospel Music ministry will be remembered by many for their singing at numerous funerals, church gatherings, camp meetings and on television.

Surviving in addition to her husband of Woodland, are her children, Angela Farley Gutsche of Lakeland, FL, Annette Farley Haines of Newnan, GA, Anissa Farley Amore of Lakeland, FL, Coleman Farley and significant other Michelle Lawonn of Ellsworth, one sister, Virginia Churchill of Presque Isle, 6 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Pastor Farley was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Francis Churchill. A celebration of life will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Washburn Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Bruce Blakney and other area clergy officiating. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church fellowship hall.
