Stockholm - Ethel Dionne Sullivan, 90 passed away peacefully at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle, on March 10, 2022. Ethel was born on May 26, 1931 in Limestone, to Ozime and Blanche (Pelletier) Dionne.

After graduating Limestone High School, Ethel started her career in Connecticut later returning to Caribou, and working for several area law offices and eventually retiring from the State of Maine Aroostook County Superior Court Justice office in Caribou.

In June of 1954, Ethel married her beloved husband, George Sullivan of Caribou. They were married 48 years, raised two daughters, Brenda and Lynn.  After living in Caribou for over 27 years, Ethel and George moved to Madawaska Lake, Stockholm, where they enjoyed the lake life. Most recently, Ethel was a resident of Leisure Village in Presque Isle where she enjoyed the company of many new friends and received wonderful care.

Ethel enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading English novels and watching sports. Basketball was her favorite and the Boston Celtics were her team.  In early April, Augusta National Golf Club holds The Masters tournament, you could find Ethel in her easy chair watching golf.  In the fall, it was college football. Ethel would be rooting for her Georgia Bulldogs...GO DAWGS!  But Ethel's real passion was her love of gardening. She would often share her plants with family and friends inspiring all that having a green thumb was possible.

Ethel was predeceased, not only by her parents, but also husband George Sullivan, daughter Lynn McCrossin, four brothers Roland, Burnell, Wendall, and Arnold Dionne and sister in-law June Rogers.

Ethel wished to be remembered and acknowledged as a hard worker, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and a loyal and unselfish friend.  She will be missed by all those who came to know her and had the privilege of calling her their friend.
