Eleanor Peterson

Limestone/Caribou - Eleanor Peterson, 77, went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022 while at Rising Hills Assisted Living Facility in Limestone, Maine after a long period of declining health.  She was born August 18, 1944 and was the living daughter of Luther Kelly and Grover and Arlene (Jackson) Henderson.  Eleanor moved to Seattle, Washington where she met and married the love of her life Roger Peterson.  She worked until her retirement as a branch manager of a local credit union.  Upon the devastating loss of her husband, Eleanor returned to Caribou, Maine to be surround by family and friends.  She enjoyed evenings spent at the Caribou American Legion, she had a love of music, all things BINGO and talking on the phone.  Eleanor is predeceased by her husband Roger, very special niece Amanda, nephew Matthew Leavitt, great nephew Quinten and 2 infant sisters. She is survived by her sons Doug Hylton Jr, Scott Peterson and his wife Debbie, grandsons Kyle and Tanner, her brother Brian and sisters Rose, Becky, Albertine, Irma, Darlene, Ann-Marie, Donella, and Jenna as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Eleanor will be missed dearly by niece, Nicole who became Ellie’s voice when she was unable to communicate.  Eleanor’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Rising Hills, Cary Medical Center, Northern Light Hospice and everyone else involved in her health care.  It truly was a team effort.  Per Eleanor’s wishes there will be no services.
