Limestone – Edwin Alan Purvis, 62, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his home in Limestone. He was born October 19, 1955, in Ft. Carson, Colorado the son of Edwin and Agnes (Miller) Purvis. Edwin attended Fairborn Baker High School in Fairborn, Ohio and also received an Associate’s Degree as an ITT Technician. Edwin retired after 23 years of employment with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Edwin is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jean (Townsend) Purvis, 1 son Alex of Limestone, Me., 1 brother, Michael Greene of London, Oh, 2 sisters, Linda Purvis of Hendersonville, NC and Mary Procknow of San Marcos, TX., and several nieces and nephews. Evening memorial services will be held 6:00 pm Monday December 11, 2017 from the Freedom Church at the Aroostook Center Mall, Presque Isle with Rev. Ron Howlett, officiating.
