Edward Mummert, Jr.

Edward L. Mummert, Jr., 70, died July 15, 2026 at the Caribou Healthcare Center following a period of declining health. He was born in Dallastown, PA, April 18, 1956 the son of Edward and Beatrice (Stoner) Mummert. Following high school graduation he joined the United States Army, serving as a combat engineer. During his time in the Army, Edward did a tour of duty in Germany. Following his military service, Edward worked as a dishwasher for several hotels.

On September 8, 2008 he married Lynn Ouellette, and together they shared nearly 18 years of marriage He was a member of the Lister-Knowlton Post 9389 VFW in Caribou.

In addition to his wife, Lynn of Caribou, and his mother, Beatrice of Pennsylvania, he is survived by a son, Matthew Mummert and partner Katelyn Haldman, a daughter, Jessie Cardinale and husband Anthony, all of PA, a son, Quinton Ouellette of Caribou, a daughter, Ariel Clavette and husband Jerry of Easton, two brothers, Randy Mummert and wife Vada, and Michael Mummert and wife Holly, all of PA, grandchildren, Evelyn Mummert, Rylie Cardinale, Hunter and Ryder Clavette, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Sr.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 11AM until time of services which will be held at 1PM from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, with Pastor Matt Palmer officiating. Interment with military honors will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery – Caribou.
