CARIBOU – Edna May Theriault, 78, died peacefully April 21, 2024 at Limestone with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Presque Isle, April 18, 1946 the daughter of the late Fred and Katherine (Cote) Pelkey. She was a 1964 graduate of Presque Isle High School and she married Gene J. Theriault on June 27, 1964. Mrs. Theriault was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a dedicated member of the Ladies of Saint Anne. Edna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She assisted Gene in running the family farm on the Van Buren Road for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband, Gene of Limestone, are their children, Brad Theriault and wife Robin of Limestone, Brian Theriault and fiancé Laura Roope of Presque Isle, Carl Theriault of Caribou, and Lori Theriault of Jacksonville, FL, one brother, Michael Pelkey and wife Jennifer of Winterport, two sisters, Linda Hawkins and husband Roger of Leesburg, FL, and Mary Moore and husband Jerry of Pawhuska, OK, a brother-in-law, John B. Means, her grandchildren, Kate Kueck and her father, William Kueck, Matthew (Torri) Theriault and Megan Theriault and their mother Lisa Theriault, Sam Fortin and significant other, Justin Linden, Joshua Fortin, Lisa (Jordan) Carmichael, and Lindsey (John) Cummings, her great-grandchildren, Avery Theriault, Jenson and Lainee Carmichael, Raeley, William, and Baylyn Cummings, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Theriault was predeceased by siblings, Thomas Pelkey Sr., Fred Pelkey Jr., Richard Pelkey, and Judy Gillette. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 6PM until 8PM on Friday, April 26, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Following the service all are invited to the church hall for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Rising Hill in Limestone for the fine care and compassion shown to Edna and the family over the last 6 years.
