Doris Bard

Doris M. Bard, 88, wife of the late Richard Bard, died May 1, 2025 at the Aroostook House of Comfort following a brief illness. She was born in Fort Kent, June 8, 1936 the daughter of the late Alyre and Catherine Roy Pelletier. She attended Fort Kent Schools and married Richard Bard on April 20, 1954. Doris was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rena Bourgoine and husband Wayne, and Nancy Lyons and husband Ed of Chapman, a granddaughter, Angel Chaffee and husband Brian of Rockport, Texas, a grandson, Joe Lyons and wife Val of Chapman, her siblings, Lorraine Dickinson of Charlevoix, MI, Beatrice Bourgoine and husband David of Caribou, James Pelletier of Fort Kent, Alyre Pelletier Jr. of Laconia, NH, Gilman Pelletier and wife Denise of Fort Kent, and Bert Bard and wife Rena of Glacier Lake, NB, CA, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. bard was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2023, and by siblings, Ronald, Normand, Clarence Pelletier, Edmay Michaud, Luciene Dufour. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall.
