CARIBOU – Lynn Bouchard Doody, 55, died September 4, 2019 at Caribou following a brief valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Caribou, December 18, 1963 the daughter of Gilman and Lorraine (Bourgoine) Bouchard. Lynn was a 1982 graduate of Caribou High School, a graduate of Northern Maine Community College with an associate’s degree in business accounting, and Husson University with a bachelor’s of science in business administration. Lynn married Dana Doody, August 15, 1992. She worked in the family business, ByLo IGA, eventually becoming owner and changing the name to Lynn’s IGA. Lynn was a cook for the Caribou School Department for 8 years, and more recently was employed as an accounting technician at the Loring Defense Financing and Accounting Service for the past 13 years. She truly enjoyed her job at DFAS, especially her coworkers who became her close friends. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a member of the Business Professional Women for several years, and truly enjoyed camping at St. Froid Lake with her family, gardening, and cooking. Surviving in addition to her husband, Dana, of Caribou, and her mother, Lorraine, of Presque Isle, is one daughter, Megan Doody of Caribou, her step-children, Jesse Doody and partner Kaileigh Wing of Winterport, Dana Jo Doody and partner Matt Cowing, and Billie Jo Doody and partner Thor Cote all of Hampden, one brother, Gregg Bouchard and wife Debbie of Presque Isle, one sister, Beth Gibbs and partner Robert Gibbs of Winslow and Brooks, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Butch Doody and partner Liz Hill of Los Cruces, NM, Tom Doody and wife Diane of Pittsburg, PA, and Gary Doody of Poquoson, VA, Penny Lewis and husband Ken, Gloria Weir and husband Chuck, all of Lake Wales, FL, Beverly Spears of Goose Creek, SC, and Mary Griffin of Kendall, FL, three grandchildren, Lauryn and Lolah Cowing, and Memphis Doody, two step grandchildren, Anni and Marco Fehn, many nieces nephews and cousins. Lynn was predeceased by her father, Gilman. Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 10am until time of services which will be held at 1pm from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Raymond officiating.
