Caribou-Dolores C. Cote, 73 beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt went to be with her Lord August 29, 2011 at Caribou following a long illness. She was born in Houlton April 10, 1938 the daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Raymond) Bossie. Dolores graduated from Caribou High School as Salutatorian of her class. Following graduation she became a telephone operator in Presque Isle. Throughout her life she was also employed at J.J. Newbery, Andersons Store, Converse, as well as Loring Air Force Base. On August 17, 1957, Dolores married Dale L. Cote, her loving husband of 54 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to their children and enjoyed family gathering and her grandbabies. She loved to read, going to yard sales, camping, trips to Bangor with Dale, and gardening her beautiful flowers and vegetables. She was a wonderful cook. Throughout the years, she also loved and cared for many “Kit Cotes: of the family. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Cote was predeceased by her parents, a brother Danny Bossie and a sister Barbara Morin. She is survived by her husband Dale of Caribou, two daughters and sons in law Donna and Les Hardgrove of Portland, Or. ,and Marie and Jaime Agudelo of San Antonio, TX., two sons and daughters in law Jeff and Tamara Cote of Stockholm and Rod and Robin Cote of Wales. Her grandchildren; Chad, Matt, Katie, Sarah, Ryan, Lindsey, Courtney, Rochelle, and Reid. One brother, Jim Bossie and his wife Debbie of Colchester, Ct. and one sister Julie Cook and her husband John of Caribou. Many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. The family extends a special thanks to the many wonderful doctors, nurses, staff and friends at the Caribou Nursing Home and Cary Medical Center for their loving care, compassion and kindness. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou, 6-8 pm Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating.
