Deanna V. Little, 76, died April 12, 2026 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle with her family by her side. She was born in Presque Isle, July 28, 1949 the daughter of the late Lenwood and Edwena (Dionne) Barnes. On May 12, 1967, she married Wayne Little, together they had a daughter, Valerie, who was her best friend. Deanna attended Christ Gospel Church in Presque Isle where she was a faithful servant of the Lord. She had a singing voice that could put tears in your eyes. Mrs. Little was employed as a PCA in the Caribou area for many years. After her retirement, she travelled the United States and Canada with her husband in his tractor trailer.
Surviving in addition to her husband Wayne of Woodland are their daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Anthony Jean of Caribou, a sister, Shelley O’Rourke of Caribou, and her beloved grand-dog, Ruger. She was a treasured auntie to her nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly, as well as her in-laws and church family. Mrs. Little was predeceased by sisters, Janet Brassbridge, Velma Gadwah, Wilma “Tookie” Recor, a brother, George “Sandy” Maskell, and a son-in-law, Barry Daley.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, Friday, April 17, 2026 from 12 Noon until time of services which will be held at 1:30PM at the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Gaylen Doody officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the American Legion Post 15, Caribou.
