David Bruso, 57, died August 3, 2026 at the Aroostook House of Comfort following a period of declining health. He was born September 18, 1968 in Caribou, the son of the late Albert and Janet (Little) Bruso Jr. David was a graduate of Caribou High School. He worked in many different places and industries over the years, including as a janitor at the Aroostook Centre Mall, in the potato houses, in local factories, and in various labor and hands-on jobs. He enjoyed hobbies such as working on his Chevy van, crafting projects, and going for long drives.
He is survived by his children, Alexis and Joshua, as well as Ashley and Jonathan, whom he loved and cared for as his own. He always said, “Anyone can be a father, but not everyone can be a dad.” His children will tell you that being a dad was truly his pride and joy. He never measured fatherhood by blood, but by the love, time, care, and memories he gave to his children. Being there for his family meant everything to him, and the love he gave as a dad will stay with his children for the rest of their lives.
He is also survived by his brother, Johnny Bruso; his sisters, Susan Berube and Sandra Bubar; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will carry their own special memories of him.
