Daryl W. Parks

April 15, 1954 — September 24, 2022

Caribou - Daryl Wallace Parks, 68, entered into his heavenly home on Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was born in Caribou, on April 15,1954, the son of the late Rev. Vaughn S. Parks and remaining mother Naida (Valley) Parks.

Daryl graduated from Caribou High School, Class of 1972.  For several years he was employed by Grant’s Dairy and Ryder Truck as a Diesel Mechanic. For the past twenty-three years, Daryl considered it an honor and a privilege to be his mother’s Primary Care Giver. When his Dad was passing, he promised that he would stay with his mother and provide her every need. As a family we will forever remember Daryl for his loving care he has so freely offered to our mother so she could stay in her own home until God calls her home to her heavenly home. Everyone will always remember Daryl for his love, humor, and generosity. Daryl had a love for music and was a gifted pianist and organist.

Surviving, in addition to his mother Naida (Valley) Parks of Caribou, is his son David S. Parks of Sumter, South Carolina and David’s mother Carlene Sawyer.  Daryl is also survived by his three sisters and three brothers, Gayla (Barry) Drake, Andre (Dale) Clark, Carolyn (Galen) Nadeau, Daylan (Debbie) Parks, Daniel Parks, Thomas (Vicky) Parks, his Aunt Lana (Boyd) Wilcox; Uncles Gerald Sullivan, and Russell Fowler.  He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews who he dearly loved and a special friend Nicole Martin.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Caribou Assembly of God Church, 116 Sweden Street, Caribou, from 10AM until time of services which will be held at 12PM with Reverend Troy Campbell and Reverend Mike Hood officiating.  Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, South Main Street, Caribou.  Please join the family at the Caribou Assembly of God for refreshments following the interment.
