Claudette J. Dumond

CARIBOU – Claudette J. Dumond, 68, died unexpectedly February 20, 2023 at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born in St. Agatha, July 29, 1954 the daughter of Lucien and Blandine (Corriveau) Chasse. Claudette earned an associate’s degree from the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and worked for Aroostook Mental Health Center and for the State of Maine as a social worker for many years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, and mother. She especially enjoyed the companionship of her beloved dogs. Claudette is survived by her husband, Gordon N. Dumond Sr. of Caribou, a daughter, Melissa, four step-sons, David Dumond, Gordon Dumond Jr., Nathan Dumond, and Brian Dumond all of New Hampshire, siblings, Conrad Chasse and wife Linda, Jeannine Dionne, and Margarite Chasse,a sister-in-law, Dolores Chasse, eight grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and by four siblings, Geraldine, Gerard, Alan and Dorothy. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
