Stockholm – Charlotte Ann Holmes, 85, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Ascension St. Thomas Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, Tennessee. Mrs. Holmes was born August 11, 1938, in Caribou the daughter of the late Claron and Eva M. (Greenleaf) Beckwith. She loved her Cashier’s job and her customers at Caribou Hannaford where she was still actively employed. She was also employed at Paradis I.G.A. for many years. She loved dogs, quilting, cooking, and baking. She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox! She is survived by her children, Randy Holmes and wife Lisa of McEwen, TN, and Nadine Doody and husband Tim of Woodland, brothers, Carl Farley of Jonesborough, TN and Robert Farley and wife Goldenia of Anamosa, IA, sisters, Vella Greenlaw and husband Wayne of Mapleton, and Rita Smith and husband Bill of Elwood, PA, her grandchildren, Clair Doody, Krystal Doody, and Gerald Holmes, III, three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Holmes, three sons, Robert Holmes, Gerald Holmes, Jr., and Joseph Holmes, and siblings, Arlene Hull, Marjorie Langley, Lloyd Langley, Ruth Lacombe, and Herman Farley. Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
