Charles Elwood Watson, 63, passed away on December 29, 2025, following a lengthy illness. He was born on February 5, 1962, in Fort Fairfield, Maine, the son of Charlie and Glennis Watson, both of whom predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his sister, Twila Watson.
Charles was raised in Limestone, where he attended local schools and graduated from Limestone Community School. As a young boy, he enjoyed dirt biking and spending time with neighborhood friends. During high school, Charles proudly served in the Army National Guard and continued his service after graduation.
Charles lived for many years in Caribou and most recently resided at Skyhaven in Presque Isle where he enjoyed a supportive sense of community. While he was quiet and independent by nature, Charles found comfort in familiar routines and touched many lives. Those who knew him best, remember his unexpected sense of humor and his authentic sense of self.
He is survived by his sisters, Julie Watson Boehme and her husband Bobby of Brunswick, and Lisa St. Pierre and her husband Wayne of Caswell, as well as several nieces who will remember him fondly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Denis Church in Fort Fairfield. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
