Eagle Lake, ME and Bricktownship, NJ.- Carlton H. Gehring, 88 died unexpectedly December 8. 2017 at Caribou. He was born in Rahway, N.J. February 6, 1929 the son of the Honorable Clifford and Ada (Worth) Gehring. He was a graduate of the Pingry School in Elizabeth N.J., and served with the US Army during Korea. Mr. Gehring was a real estate broker in Shore Acres N.J for a number of years. He loved the quietness of his camp on Eagle Lake, watching the birds at his feeders and sitting along the shore feeding the camp chipmunks. Many will remember Carlton as a quiet, gentle man. He will be missed by his two nephews, Clifford H. Gehring of Sanford and William Gehring and wife Vicky of Caribou. A great nephew, Alex and a great niece Sage, both of whom he was very proud of. A sister-in-law Annabelle Gehring, as well as his special friend Patty. He was predeceased by his brother, Clifford P. Gehring. A private family service will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
