VAN BUREN – Camile A. Lausier Jr. died January 8, 2020, surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 18th, 1931, in Van Buren, one of nineteen children born to Camile Lausier Sr. & Irene Daigle.
Camile joined the United States Army and served as part of the 2nd armored Division in Europe after WWII. In 1954 he married the love of his life, the beautiful Miss Corinne Roy of Van Buren. Throughout his life he held several jobs all of which he excelled at because of his hard work ethic. Camile worked at Gagnon’s Hardware, Felix Michaud Potato House, Allied Van Lines, a Volunteer for the Ambulance Corps, and VBDSS doing various duties including bus driving just to name a few. Camile had a strong patriotic spirit which was evident through his active involvement in the local Knights of Columbus and American Legion where he served in many capacities including Sergeant at Arms, Color Guard, Post 49 Commander, and Commander of the 7th District.
His love for his four daughters and five sons was endless, all were raised in the St. John Valley tradition of honesty and hard work, and he enjoyed seeing each of them move on and start families of their own. Throughout all of life's challenges, he was a devoted man of faith and family.
He is survived by his wife, Corinne, of 65 years; his sons, David Lausier and wife, Rachelle, of Van Buren, ME, Richard Lausier, of Biddeford, ME, Robert Lausier of Madawaska, ME, Daniel Lausier, of Lenoir, NC, and Patrick Lausier and wife, Emily, of Boiling Springs, SC; daughters, Tina, and husband, Jeff Morrissette of Ware, MA, Betty Lausier, of Van Buren, ME, Rachel Lydem of Madawaska, ME, Lisa Dionne and husband, John Dionne, of Caribou, ME, along with 27 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by five brothers, Leo, Harold, Edmond, Clifford and Reginald, two sisters Claudette and Joan. He was predeceased by four brothers, Emilian, Clarence, Ronald and Claude, and six sisters, Theresa, Rita, Mildred, Anita, Edna, and Cecile.
We will miss his humor, contagious smile, and the twinkle in his eye, but most of all we will miss you, you were an amazing husband, father, and pepere.

Services will be held at St. Bruno – St. Remi Catholic Church on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 10 A.M. for friends and family.
In accordance with Camile’s wishes the family would like to request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Legion Post 49 or a military organization of your choice.
