Beryl Hale

April 3, 1927 — December 2, 2016

CARIBOU – Beryl Hale, 89, was lifted into heaven on the evening of December 2, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Caribou. She was born in Caribou, April 3, 1927 the daughter of the late Arthur and Novella (Smith) Somers. Beryl was a 1944 graduate of Caribou High School and she married Dale M. Hale July 21, 1945. She enjoyed her years as a housewife, and when her children were young adults she found her love for banking. Beryl worked as the branch manager of the Aroostook Trust Company for many years. She made many great friends at the bank. Beryl was a kind and gentle lady. She loved her family and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Beryl loved to cook and could always be found in the kitchen on Sunday morning, preparing a traditional “Sunday dinner,” where her family would gather. She was a longtime member of the Caribou United Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Debbie Plourde and husband Rick, Myron Hale and wife Wanda all of Caribou, Terry Hale and wife Pattie of Presque Isle, and Eric Hale and wife Paula of Caribou, eight grandchildren, Nicole Evans and husband Jon, Alison Keaton and husband Kevin, Brian Hale, Heather Chase and husband Lewis, Jon Hale, Nicholas Hale, Ashley Lajoie and husband Corey, Brandon Hale and wife Laura, and Jessica Levasseur, 14 great-grandchildren, Jared and fiancé Liza, Marissa, Drew, Skyelor, Abby, Alissa, Dillyn, Aaron, Evan, Gage, Piper, Owen, Sophie, Lucy, Benny, and Hailie, two sisters, Marilyn Mirus of Florida, and Natalie Undercofler and husband Michael of Hudson, NH, two brothers, Lee Somers and wife Eloise of Presque Isle, and Galen Somers, and a brother-in-law, Wayne Hale and wife Maxine all of Caribou, a special friend, Jean Sutherland, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hale was predeceased by her husband Dale in 1984, an infant daughter Novella Faye in 1947, a son Gregory in 2003, and a brother, Harold Somers in 2008. Friends may call Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be held 10am Tuesday December 6, 2016 from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Troy Heald officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
