Beatrice Wilkins

CARIBOU – Beatrice M. Wilkins, 64, passed away February 28, 2021 with her family by her side at Caswell after a period of declining health. She was born in Caribou, August 2, 1956 the daughter of Norman and Shirley (McLaughlin) Akerson, Sr. Beatrice worked in several different jobs, mostly during Harvest while her children were in school, as a cashier, or cleaning homes. She is survived by 2 sons, Scott Martino and wife Janice of Alabama, and Blaine Wilkins, Jr. and fiancée Chelsea Bouchard, of Caribou, a daughter, Lena Giggey and significant other Wayne Skidgel of Caribou, brothers, Paul Akerson of Caribou, Kirk Akerson of Presque Isle, and her sister and best friend, Roxie Martin of Caswell, a sister-in-law, Yvonne Skidgel, 13 grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Jazmine, 3 great-grandchildren – with one more on the way, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both of her parents, her younger brother Norman Jr., two daughters, Tena McGraw and Brenda Wilkins, a grandson, niece, two great-nephews and a great-niece.  A private family celebration of life will be held.
