Blanche Lillian Bartlett

March 4, 1932 — September 28, 2020

Woodland-Blanche Lillian Bartlett, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior September 28, 2020 at Caribou. She was born in Woodland March 4, 1932 the daughter of the late Eugene and Edna (Russell) Pike. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education from Barrington College -Rhode Island College of Education. Mrs. Bartlett was a teacher with TEAM Missions, serving missions in Japan for many years. She married David Bartlett in 1955. Blanche was an active member of the Perham Baptist Church, where she taught Women’s Sunday School, was on the Missions committee and also served as church librarian. She was very musical, playing piano at church’s in Japan and the United States. She also sang with TRIO. Blanche loved flowers and always had a big garden everywhere she lived. She would plant flowers that would bloom from spring to fall, according to the season. Her garden was always well weeded and it was always neat and tidy (as was her home). Surviving in addition to her husband, David of Woodland are her children, Mary Elizabeth Dupree of Winfield, IL., and Timothy David Bartlett and wife Michelle, of Carol Stream, IL. Her beloved grandchildren; Elissa, Timothy, Charles, Rachel, Ellie, and Josiah, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Due to covid restrictions, a private family funeral will be held at the Perham Baptist Church October 10, 2020. Interment will be in the Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
