Caribou - Barbara Susan “Bunna” Cassidy, 52, passed away February 1, 2017 at Caribou following a long illness. She was born in Presque Isle, July 8, 1964 the daughter of Wendell and Barbara (White) Cassidy. Bunna was a 1983 graduate of Caribou High School and was employed for many years at Caribou One Stop, Paradis IGA as well as the Caribou Theatre. Surviving in addition to her mother, Barbara Tilley of Caribou are two sisters and a brother in law; Debbie and Brent Plourde of Caribou and Christen Cassidy of Connecticut, a brother Christopher Cassidy of Caribou. A niece Whitney and husband James Dee-LaPointe, nephews; Tyler Plourde and friend Jessica King and their family, Laura, Charlotte, Cameron and Taylor, Nicholas Plourde, his wife Nicole and their daughter Lennox, Christopher Cassidy, Mason Cassidy and Aiden Gauthier. Her Aunts and Uncles: Virginia “Ginni” Kelley of W. Virginia, Harry and Phyllis Cassidy and Gaynor and Dianne Johnson all of Connecticut, and Penny Cassidy of Bangor. Her beloved cat, Cassidy. Bunna was predeceased by her father Wendell. A celebration of her life will be held in July. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Bunna may do so to the charity of one’s choice. For all the people who have been fortunate to share Bunna’s journey, we have learned many life lessons from her, kindness, compassion, bravery and hope.
