Phyllis M. Anderson, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend died unexpectedly May 11, 2023 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Phyllis resided in Henniker, NH with her Husband Daniel D. DaCosta.

She was born in Revere, Massachusetts, October 18, 1940 and was the eldest of three siblings of Frank and Edith (Oliva) Conte. Phyllis was a graduate of Revere High School, and earned a bachelor’s of arts degree from Gordon Christian College. She was a very talented artist and piano player. Phyllis worked as a teacher before settling into life as a Mother and farmer’s wife in Aroostook County, Maine. She was a woman of faith and you could find her volunteering at the local church second hand shop. In her free time she enjoyed being involved and spending time with her three children, and enjoying peaceful summer’s at Madawaska lake. She was an avid reader and you could often find her relaxing with a good book in her recliner while snacking on chocolate and a nice hot coffee or tea. 

She was predeceased by her parents, her second husband, Carroll F. Anderson, and a sister, Camille LaBreche. Phyllis is survived by her sister Lois Hyatt (Jack) brother Frank Conte (Terry)  and children, Gregory C. Jensen (Patty) of Iowa, Mark Jensen (Linda) of Georgia, and Allie Anderson (Ariel) of Massachusetts, six step-children, Frank Anderson (Shanda) of Maine, Andy Anderson, and Colleen Anderson both of Massachusetts, William DaCosta of Colorado, Jeanette Velarde of Oregon, Suzanne (Tom) of New Hampshire, and her 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 

Burial services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, Maine. Memorial Service will be held 1:00PM on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the Congregational Church of Henniker. In lieu of flowers the family asks for a donation to “Phyllis’s Memorial Fund” https://everloved.com/life-of/phyllis-anderson/donate/  website where proceeds will be given to the church.
