Caribou- Alfred Formentini, 98, died March 4, 2012 at Caribou. He was born in Chicago Heights, Ill. August 9, 1913 the son of the late Frank and Edith (Cassochia) Formentini. Mr. Formentini served with the US Army during WWII and was employed as a cook in the Chicago area for a number of years. He lived in Port Richie Florida, prior to relocating to Caribou several years ago. He was predeceased by his wife Delores and three brothers. He is survived by several cousins including Romeo Formentini of Homeward, Ill., and Palmira Mancini of Chicago Heights Ill. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery Caribou.
